Iron Village Strength & Conditioning is a strength training and fitness gym in Beverly, MA, specializing in strength and conditioning, functional fitness, sports performance, and personalized coaching for adults of all fitness levels. Our progressive, injury-conscious training programs are developed by Doug Balzarini, a Certified Strength & Conditioning Specialist with more than 20 years of experience helping athletes, MMA world champions, and everyday individuals build strength, improve mobility, and achieve lasting results. Unlike traditional commercial gyms, Iron Village provides expert coaching, structured programming, and a supportive fitness community where every member receives personalized attention, stays accountable, and becomes part of something bigger than a workout.

Meet the Owner
Doug Balzarini
Doug Balzarini has spent more than two decades helping people become stronger, move better, and perform at their highest level. Originally from Massachusetts, Doug earned his degree in Exercise Physiology before beginning his career as a personal trainer and strength coach.
After relocating to San Diego, he spent five years working with the American Council on Exercise (ACE) before joining the renowned Fitness Quest 10, where he coached clients of all ages and abilities—from beginners and active adults to elite athletes and world champion MMA fighters.
Throughout his career, Doug has served as a strength and conditioning coach, educator, business owner, and international presenter. He has contributed to industry publications, educational resources, and fitness conferences around the world while continuing to work directly with clients and athletes.
In 2014, Doug was recruited to Saudi Arabia to help design, develop, and launch a state-of-the-art fitness facility, further expanding his experience in coaching, program development, and facility operations.
Today, Doug brings that same passion, expertise, and commitment to Iron Village Strength & Conditioning, where his mission is simple: help people build strength, gain confidence, and achieve lasting results in a supportive community environment.
